Sniff Club™️ is our Exclusive scent work club where dogs use their nose, mind, and burn energy-all while strengthening their bond with you! Included with your club membership is the introductory scent work class where you and your dog will learn the basics of scent work. Once you complete this class you are part of the Sniff Club- where members meet every month to strengthen their dog’s new skills and meet other area dog owners!

• Exercise in the winter! We all know how hard it is to get your dog adequate exercise during the cold winter months. Sniff Club is a great option for tiring your dog out and getting them out of the house during the cold months.
• A Hobby for everyone! Scent work is a hobby nearly anyone can participate in. You do not have to have any prior knowledge or special skills. You don’t have to be an extremely active person. Your dog doesn’t need to know any specific obedience cues or have completed any prior training to participate. Sniff Club really is a great fit for many dogs and owners!

FAQ:

What is scent work? Scent work is teaching a dog to use their nose to detect a certain scent (such as birch, anise, clove, etc). Scent work classes teach dogs how to find a swab of scent hidden in an area and alert their owner to where the scent is hidden!

Why would I want to teach my dog scent work? Dogs naturally LOVE to sniff. Teaching them a fun new “hobby” which harnesses their natural love of sniffing is both mentally enriching, and burns excess energy! If you have a high energy dog, you will love how Sniff Club tires them out! If you have a “naughty” dog who is always getting into trouble, you will love how Sniff Club gives them an appropriate outlet which stimulates their mind! Scent work also helps strengthen your dog’s listening skills around distractions (hello better behavior!)

What days and times are classes? The introductory 4 week class occurs several times throughout the year, usually on weekday evenings. Our monthly members-only club meetings occur on the first Tuesday of every month from 6-7pm.

How does the membership fee work? The initial membership fee of $250 is paid in full when you join Sniff Club. This includes the 4 week introductory class, and up to 12 monthly drop in meetings, starting the month after you complete the introductory class. A club renewal fee of $120 is due once per year. This can be paid automatically by credit card.

What if I can’t make it to a club meeting? Many members cannot attend every single meeting throughout the year, but most make it a priority to attend as many as possible- both to get the most out of their membership, and because their dog has SO much fun! The yearly fee is a blanket, non refundable fee regardless of how many sessions you are able to attend.

Other things to know:

• Dogs Must be up-to-date on Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines
• Dog must Not be aggressively reactive towards people or other dogs
• Dogs must be at least 5 months old to join
• A limit of one dog per club member
